Hotel Kutuma

We had the perfect stay at Kutuma Hotel. Free upgrade given a last minute cancellation. Service was excellent - staff were friendly, welcoming, and warm. Lattes and croissants in the morning brought to the room was the best way to start the day. Location is top notch, 3 minute walk from a metro station and in a great neighbourhood. Would recommend this in a heartbeat.

The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Upon arrival I was offered a coffee ☕️ which was refreshing after my train ride from Québec City. There is no elevator but that was fine for me. I love the African inspired decor in the room and throughout the hotel, which is what prompted me to stay here. The location is great. Adam, staff of the hotel was extremely helpful. He helped me understand the train system beforehand and explained how to get around. The St. Denis neighborhood is nice and very walkable. Lots of good eateries in the neighborhood. Close walking distance approximately 6-8 min walk to the Sherbrooke train station and several bus stops nearby. My room was 403 in the back very quiet and comfortable. I was grateful for the AC wall unit. I love sleeping with a bit of cool air. The balcony was nice, although i didn't spend much time using it. I stayed for 1 night and will definitely return to stay again. There is also an Ethiopian restaurant directly downstairs and attached to the hotel. You can order food from the restaurant to your hotel room if you wish. The bed was comfortable for me. I had a junior suite. The bathrobe was comfortable. Water pressure from the shower 🚿 was sufficient. I really enjoyed my stay with Kutuma Hotel. I wanted to stay an additional night but had to return to Québec for a work meeting. I recommend if you're interested in something different than traditional big chain hotels. I appreciated the late check out at 12pm so there is no early check in really but one can leave the luggage at the hotel and return later for the check in.

We are very familiar with Montreal and usually stay downtown or in the old port, but we wanted to stay in this area. We absolutely love the hotel and stayed there for one night. The service was exceptional. Our room was awesome and our breakfast which was brought to our room was delicious. The only downside which is minor is, it’s quite stressful to pull the car over cause you’re in the middle of a bike lane and the traffic. But they were very quick to get our car out of there to the valet. I would definitely stay there again. There is really no hotel lobby so you’re staying there more for excellent service great rooms, great vibe and location
