Stayed here for 2 nights, including Sunday and had a good experience. Staff were friendly, food and drinks were good, lovely river and quite a few facilities/services/activities, which was great. The showers and toilets are decent and they lend you a towel if you ask for one. I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm and it was nice, the rooms are spacious and the locker is huge. The party on Sunday was cool but it’s mainly attended by very young people (18-20) and there are lots of drugs involved! The one thing which really bothered me was the fact the sheets on my bed had not been changed, there was only 1 bed being used so I checked the others and they all smelt pretty bad. The sheets were stretched out to look as if the bed had been freshly made but as soon as you laid down on it, you’d notice the horrible smell from the bedding, it was awful and completely unnecessary as this is a pretty basic thing to do. I advised reception and someone came to change the sheets straight away and what a difference it was. There’s just no excuse for it, the sheets smelt like they had not been washed in a long while. Overall, good experience, would return.
