Hotel La Pergola

What a surprise. The staff is excellent, without exception. The General Manager can always be seen watching over repairs done, updating of facilities, supervising the wait staff and even receiving daily briefs by her employees. The restaurant/breakfast room personnel were incredible. I cannot give names due to potential privacy infractions, but from the host, to the waitresses, I was amazed by their professionalism, expediency and their eagerness to support the guests in whatever need arose. The rooms were always cleaned from top to bottom, no shortcuts taken and the same applies even to the common areas. The breakfast was always plentifull, the coffee made fresh to order utilizing a barista and mixed drinks usually spot on. Rental bikes are available and reserving an umbrella and two chaits in row five always a breeze. It is not easy to keep such a high traffic place functioning and presentable, but the employees of La Pergola should be proud. I felt completely at ease, comfortable while knowing that the staff takes pride in their work to ensure we as guests are not lacking anything. Iwill be happy to visit in the future again. Challenges: The WIFI was a bit weak in our corner although the signal originated nearby; Parking can be challenging when fully booked; The pool was a tad too small for the amount of guests present, which includes the available umbrellas and chairs; The dinner choices were a bit lacking.

The location of the hotel in the greenery, clean and tidy, the staff polite and smiling. Quiet. The food is excellent. Thank you for everything. All the best.

The best points for this hotel, are the staff, that are really customer oriented and the restaurant, where they served us a deliciouse fish, that was not in the daily menu, just because we requested something else. The downsides of the hotel are: very small shower cabin, at 77 kg and an atletic stature, i did not fit in it and i heart myself a few times in the cabin walls. The water presure at level 4 is very low, but manageble but for those whom really like hot showers, this is not the choise because the water it's like milk served to babies (as temperature wise). Also in the bathroom, the hair dryer it's just for nothing, not really eficient. It makes more noise than dryes your hair. Room are ok, the bad thing is the sound isolation. The people next room had to check out early at 4 am and we heard everything, starting with the alarm, all their conversation and ending with the luggage zipper. On the balcony there is no light so if you like to sit after dark outside, you have to manage it with your own light, or the light from the room. The location of the hotel is also not the best, and eventhough it has a private pool, it's mandatory to have a head cap protection, but you will get only 1 for free. We were 3 persons and if we would choose to go at the pool, we would need to buy some extra caps. Prise wise, not the best, but fairlly normal for the season and location, but taking all in consideration I will not go there soon.
