Hotel La Rosa dei Venti

Safe, quiet, large rooms and large pool area. Decent breakfast. Only complaint is that shower is too small. Otherwise full points.

Highly recommend Beautiful view Clean rooms

The location is at the top of a hill with incredible views of the coast. However, there is really nothing happening in the local village and other than a nearby restaurant (Villa Banco - exceptional) you really need to drive to visit anywhere. The service was ok, although the breakfast was one of the worst provided in a 4 star hotel (a multitude of cakes with little of anything savoury). The room was fine but the bathroom was very basic (2 star quality) and the pool wasn't particularly clean. What needs to be known is that the hotel's major income stream is from weddings and if there is a wedding going on then don't expect to sleep until at least 3 am. The hotel doesn't let you know about this in advance. I think booking.com should stop having links with them. Having spent 3 weeks in Sicily, staying in multiple hotels and apartments, this was the worst. I normally only like to praise the places that are exceptional, but on this occasion I feel bound to state that I simply wouldn't stay in this hotel. The manager did give us a slight reduction on our bill, and therefore they did acknowledge that having a reasonable night's sleep was something they couldn't provide.
