Stayed here with my girlfriend and her family during the winter. There were 7 of us in total so we stayed in a large Japanese style, open plan apartment, it didnt look much from the outside but the inside was spacious, clean enough and warm. There was a balcony where we could see deer in the morning, and a great view of Mt. Fuji. Breakfast was included and was very good for Japanese standards, the staff cooked the bacon/sausages a little extra for our tastes, and there was plenty of different foods to choose from. The views from the massive windows were spectacular. The onsen was also very enjoyable and I managed to enjoy it with tattoos - I recommend not mentioning anything if you have them and just hoping for the best. The price was very good and I had a fantastic time, I would definitely stay here again - perhaps in the summer.

Facilities were outdated but were kept very clean. Nice huge public baths. Buffet breakfast was quite reasonable considering the quality. Though not very convenient public transportation and shuttle buses are available to and from the hotel.

Where do I begin...I know! The rooms don't have wifi. Actually, it's worse, they have 0.5 bars / 4, meaning you either have zero internet or a trickle. Asking at the front desk - they said I can sit in the lobby. No apology, no sympathy, just a matter of fact "there are two chairs for you" (conversation conducted in Japanese) which shows to me they either don't care, or are sick of people complaining about the lack of in-room WiFi. Public streets, trains, stations, coffee shops - everything in town has free WiFi, but your hotel doesn't!! Additionally, the rooms are pretty dingy, dirty in spots, a fair amount of bugs inside - some of this I would look the other way on, given that it is way out in the middle of nowhere, but bad location, bad rooms, and bad service is basically all there is to evaluate, and I would like to never come here again.
