Hotel Lagoon

We had a great stay. Very good breakfast with some authentic Colombian dishes and very comfortable rooms. We were a big group and still got great service throughout the whole stay. It has a beautiful outside sitting area and some activities for the kids. We really enjoyed this hotel.

Nice hotel with beautiful green scenery for peaceful stay. Only issue was I arrived around 10:30am after an ordeal at the airport where my flight was canceled and had spent 6 hours sitting there. Once I arrived to the hotel I had to wait another 4.5 hours or so to officially get inside the room as check-in was 3pm. I thought since hotel was close to airport they might accommodate early check in especially on Tuesday night when there were maybe only 10 or so ppl staying at the hotel. Once inside the room it was nice and spacious. The only issue with the room itself is the design of the bathroom vanity and the toilet is very close so if you are American sized (tall and/or fat) then using toilet comfortably can be a challenge.

Be prepared to be disappointed. The breakfast buffet was the highlight. But the money spent to book a “Junior Suite” was a let down. Room size in booking.com includes the large but unusable kitchen. No glasses, utensils, dishes or anything else. Terrace lacked furniture and overlooked a field. Bathroom was cramped and glass shower a hazard as too close to toilet and door. Hard to navigate. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere or just a cheap basic room.
