Cute hotel with a good location from the main train station. Our room was on the 9th floor so we had a nice view of the Mole with a little balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the room was on the smaller side but great for 2 people. The beds and towels were always clean and made up nicely after we came back after a day of exploring. The breakfast had lots to choose from and was really yummy. I don't know if we were just lucky or just didn't have loud people around us, but it was really quiet so we had a great sleep every night. The shower always had warm water and it had a good pressure. Definitely recommend it!
To be honest it's not 4stars hotel, baybe 3stars. The positive side is Polite employees. It's 25 minutes from station, it's accessible by tram and metro also by feet but at night you don't feel safe in street because of homeless people. If you get the room in higher floors, you will have good view. The rooms are super small that even using the bidet is almost impossible. Everything has minimum size. Rate of Cleanliness is 2 or 3 out of 5. Breakfast is the most basic one, no fresh fruits, not enough eggs. The coffee is industrialized, not the good Italian one. The cakes are low quality.
To be avoided - shameless scammers I was travelling to Turin for a work-related conference and the conference organisers suggested to book this hotel. While the organisers proceeded to make a booking, I received an elaborately crafted email (from an address which looked legitimate) asking me to fill in my contact details for my stay at Hotel Lancaster - and later a second email prompting me to pay with my credit card for the scam booking. This turned out to be a scam and two bookings were made under my name. Upon contacting the hotel the receptionist explained that a second booking has been made through expedia (!) and that he could not cancel it and he said that if I would show up at the hotel I would be obliged to pay for both bookings. Of course the scammers had not sent any booking number or anything that could be used with expedia to cancel the scam booking and in the end I had to spend several hours trying to find a solution to something that the hotel staff should be able to do upon a simple request. I have never stayed in another hotel that refuses to cancel bookings a month in advance and treats customers this way. The receptionist was quite rude and unhelpful and I had to cancel my stay there. Since nobody except the organisers knew that I would stay in that hotel, my suspicion is that the hotel staff is part of a scam circuit.
