Hotel Langenwaldsee

This is a perfect little gem of a get-away. Surrounded by calm forests, clear creeks, and the heavens above. Schwarzwald National Park is just around the corner, especially if you have some wheels (two is best). The food and service are top, but I must admit, this is normally a touch out of my budget, so I am easy to please. After two evenings in the spa, all the world seemed to melt away. Not looking forward to returning to reality. Hindsight is 20/20 and I would say the soul deserves to spend some time a little disconnected from the busy world with a bit of high class treatment. Totally worth it! Thanks team for the awesome stay! Will be back again!

Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Few suggestions, 1) book a room on the lake side as the road is a bit loud at night and 2) bring a pillow as the ones provided are very German. 10/10 and will return!

It was a nice experience, but I don't think that I would do it again. The place was far from town, not much variety to eat, and the lake looked like it was man-made. The Sauna area was the only thing that I really liked.
