Hotel Las Americas Casa de Playa

Hotel is amazing with multiple pools, restaurants and bars located there and a place where you can view turtles. There is an 18+ pool located on the top of the tower as well. The whole experience was great aside from the closure of the pools at 8pm. A rooms need a little updating, our sliding door was broken but doesn't distract from the fact you're staying in a very luxurious place.

The food is good. They lack a lot in regard to cocktails. Rooms are ok they could use a more frequent mantainance. They also lack guided activities for children. Location is good due to being 5 min to the airport, but at the same time, that is problematic if you want to sleep outside of 11pm and 5am.

I hate to be that person that leaves a bad review to a nice hotel, but something frustrated me a great deal. When I was booking my trip on hotels.com I had put it one person. Now most of the time you don't ever check in with one person in a hotel, but my friend had an issue traveling and did not make it the first night. So when he arrived the next day in the morning they said I would have to pay. Because I put one person on the reservation, I had to pay for an additional 30 or 40 dollars, which is honestly not bad, but it is the principal that felt like 'let's rip off the tourst since we can.' I don't appreciate it. Bijao is an amazing restaurant, the pools are beautiful, and I wish I wasn't leaving with a bad taste in my mouth or I would definitely come back. I just don't appreciate garbage like that, and when I tried to argue and ask about it, they pulled out my reservation and showed that I put 'one person' like it was my intention to do that? If there was no attitude with the statement and a hint of trying to accommodate the situation I would have given 5 stars. I don't leave bad reviews very often but here we are.
