Hotel Laurin

I highly recommend Hotel Laurin's in Dobbiaco. The hotel is a great base for cross country skiing (Nordic Arena 3 min walk) and exploring the 3 Zinnen region (excellent bus connections, tickets included in the price of accommodation). The rooms are renovated and very cozy. The hotel staff is very nice, smiling and always willing to help. The very pleasant and modernly equipped spa area deserves attention - perfect relaxation in the saunas after skiing! Meals: morning coffee as in Italy, excellent espresso! Evening dinner very tasty, a 5 star hotel would not be ashamed of it. This is a family hotel and you can see the huge effort put into making the guests feel taken care of. Our family of 5 stayed here the night before we started our Alta Via 1 trek and just loved it. The front-desk and service was so accommodating and friendly. The dinner and breakfast were some of the best we’ve had in Italy to be honest. The cappuccino’s made were amazing too. As other reviewers mentioned its a little tricky to spot from the street (we took a short 10 min walk from train station), but once here you won’t want to leave. The 5 bed-suite was high quality and recently remodeled, but slightly smaller than I imagined from pictures. That said it had a lovely balcony and the shower room had its own sink and was separate from the toilet/sink which helped across 5 people.

What a lovely 6 nights we had at Hotel Laurin. A beautifully appointed hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The dinner menu and delivery was exceptional. Compliments to the chef and staff, especially Lisa and bar waiter. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return some day. Deb and Doug 🇦🇺
