An incredible hotel in an incredible location with incredible staff. While the location on the slope is outstanding and the hotel interior is impeccable, it’s the staff that really took our experience to the next level - 5 star luxury all day long!

This review is for the restaurant: Our party is a unique case because one of us is vegan -- we notified them ahead, and they specifically created a 4 course vegan menu for them, so we went with the 5 course menu for the whole group. Some dishes (scallops, mushroom cappuccino, venison) were phenomenal — some of the best dishes we had in Courchevel, and the cheese selection was the best any of us have ever had anywhere. And the one word that everyone walked away with was: Presentation. The ambiance, plating, and even the table-side preparation made it feel like we were in a theatre production. The staff were also extremely kind, knowledgeable, and able to answer all of our questions. At the same time, despite being 5 courses, the dinner was 4 hours because of an hour+ long wait between the 4th course to the dessert & bill which was jarring, especially since the pacing for the rest of the dinner was otherwise okay. At the beginning, we were also asked if anyone else had any aversions — one has a strong one w/ mushrooms, but was served it several times while a server checked-in about it at the fourth course. One course was primarily mushroom and we understand the difficulty there, though most dishes could have had the mushrooms removed, such as truffle shavings on several. Commenting on the vegan menu (and thank you to the kitchen and staff for being accommodating), the flambéed leek and mushroom cappuccino were both standouts, as well as the shiso leaf sorbet towards the end; however, the fruit plate dessert was a little underwhelming, and the risotto with artichoke and truffle was a little bland and far too heavy — if that dish could have been replaced with two smaller dishes to ensure a 5 course meal along with everyone else, that would significantly help.

Overall a good stay but the team and services need to improve. Rooms and access architecture is labyrinthine with narrow corridors and poor interior design. Ski room and spa were the highlights with excellent service and infrastructure. The gym is like a prison cell with almost no space or equipment. The concierge staff was kind but not very efficient, probably due to lack of good connections and poor software. The breakfast buffet and service were tops with great staff. The reception and office have much to improve. The bar was friendly and well managed. The Sidonie restaurant is one of the worst hotel restaurants of this class with its poor service, decor and atmosphere. There is almost no lobby and nowhere cozy to sit and enjoy e nice fireside mountain evening. The location is very good and is ski in ski out.
