This place was a great find for our trip to Brussels. The location is fantastic - just about a block from Central Station, and a couple of blocks from the Grand Place. There are plenty of places to eat within steps of the hotel - including Maison Dandoy for waffles and many of the famous chocolate shops. The rooms are charming - not your cookie-cutter chain-hotel design. Linens were quality, and each of us had a refrigerator in our room. Every employee we dealt with was friendly and helpful. I forgot my adapter to charge my phone. The gentleman at the desk saved the day by immediately offering me the use of one from the stash the hotel had. (Also, special shout out to Naomi at the front desk for helping us store our group's massive amounts of luggage.) The rooms were clean and quiet. Not much more you can ask for! I will absolutely choose Le Dixseptieme again if I return to Brussels. I stayed in Courtens, the Classic Superior Suite. We had a group of six staying in four rooms at the hotel. Courtens has a living area with two couches and a dining room table and also has easy access to the roof terrace. Our group was able to comfortably assemble for drinks and chit-chat on a couple of occasions. It was really nice - especially the terrace in the evenings. Only one word of caution. Courtens may not be for you if you have mobility issues. You will need to carry your luggage up a small flight of stairs to reach the room and then the bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor of the room which is accessed by a beautiful, but tight spiral staircase. I've got knee and back issues, and I managed it, but I am sure some others would not be able to. To sum up, if you have Le Dixseptieme in your sights, don't be afraid to pull the trigger! Our group absolutely loved it!
What an hotel! It locates at the very heart of Brussels. 3 min to grand palace of Brussels by walking. The room was at the roof, which was very clean, comfortable. highly recommended!
Stayed here for a quick anniversary trip with my husband. We booked the garden suite for two nights and a "romance" package. From even before we arrived, the staff were helpful and kind. I asked them to print a little special sign as a surprise for my husband and place it in the room and they were very obliging. During the stay, staff was helpful and attended to our needs very well. The hotel's location cannot be beat. It's across the street from the Brussel Centraal metro station and about a block from the historic center. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted with ease (we walked to Ave Louise from there - 30 min - and the famous summer fair - 25 min). The hotel itself is lovely. Admittedly, if you've got a lot of luggage (we did), it's a little hard to access the suite. You've got quite some stairs and an elevator to navigate. No porter service at the hotel. Not really a big deal for us, being able to ferry our own bags, but it could present a problem for anyone who struggles with mobility. The suite was fantastic. The terrace is cute, the jacuzzi is awesome (the bathroom is shockingly big and has a heated floor) and the bed is exceptional. We also really enjoyed the separate couch space because my husband and I don't always sleep at the same time, so I could sleep while he stayed awake. We would, for a special occasion, most certainly stay here again. It's pricey, but I booked the biggest suite in the middle of Brussels, so I can't really complain!
