Hotel Le Fontanelle

Hotel Le Fontanelle was the most beautiful property we visited in Italy! So peaceful, stunning, and unforgettable. We arrived early, and the staff went above and beyond, offering us breakfast, storing our bags, and giving us a place to relax until our room was ready. For our honeymoon, they gifted us prosecco, wine, and a sweet note which was such a thoughtful gesture. Our room was cool and comfortable (though the bed was very firm like concrete and uncomfortable) and the on-site meals were delicious with consistently attentive service. The pool and views were serene and we felt completely at peace. The sunset picnic we booked was not what we expected based on the price (130 euros)... we were just handed a pre-packed *very heavy* basket from behind the front desk and we were told to set it up ourselves and find our own picnic sunset spot on the property (no direct spots with a sunset view and the food was underwhelming). However, our other experiences such as the Vallepicciola winery tour and dinner at their sister property, The Clubhouse, were fantastic with great shuttle service. Overall, despite the bed & picnic experiences, it was still one of the most incredible properties we've ever stayed at and we’d definitely return in a heartbeat!

Hotel Le Fontanelle is truly magical. The service is incredible—everything is so thoughtfully planned that we never had to worry about a thing. From booking activities to small touches like turn-down service timed while we were at dinner, they handled it all seamlessly. The views are absolutely stunning and somehow never get old. Whether you’re by the pool or enjoying a meal, you’re always looking out over the rolling Tuscan hills. Every detail is done with care. We even saw someone scrubbing the tires of our e-bikes after a ride, and our picnic was packed with everything we could possibly need, all perfectly arranged in a custom backpack. We had to make a few small changes to our booking, and the staff took care of it effortlessly. Everyone we met was so warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. The hotel grounds are gorgeous—vibrant flowers, neatly trimmed gardens, peaceful vineyards, and olive trees everywhere you look. It really feels like the heart of Tuscany. We honestly couldn’t believe how lucky we were to experience such beauty in such a special place. We can’t wait to visit again.

We have been traveling around Italy for 3 weeks and Hotel Le Fontanelle was our favorite stay by far! A short drive from Siena, the property sits on a hilltop with stunning panoramic views of vineyards and rolling hills. Our room was lovely and the staff is nothing short of amazing! The service was top notch. We loved spending our days at the pool and had a great experience at the Vallepicciola winery as well. We ate at a couple of places here and at the Clubhouse, but our favorite was La Colonna. Breakfast is wonderful! My husband and I can’t wait to return. Thanks for the most amazing stay in Tuscany!
