A Peaceful Paradise in Cilento – Hotel Orion is a Hidden Treasure! Hotel Orion Villammare is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Cilento. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the peaceful atmosphere, warm hospitality, and stunning views of the sea and surrounding landscape. The hotel itself is charming and beautifully maintained. My room was spotless, cozy, and filled with natural light—plus, the balcony offered breathtaking views of the coast. Every detail, from the décor to the comfort of the bed, reflected care and quality. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming—always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations for exploring the area. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to everything you’d want to see in the Cilento region, while still feeling like a tranquil retreat away from the crowds. The food was another highlight—fresh, local ingredients, delicious flavors, and a real sense of southern Italian warmth in every bite. If you're looking for an authentic, peaceful, and luxurious stay along the Italian coast, Hotel Orion Villammare is the place. I can’t recommend it enough and would return in a heartbeat!

Nice and peacefull little town

The Hotel Orion enjoys an excellent location: located on the SS. 18 delle Calabrie, with the sea just across the road, very close to Vibonati to the west and Sapri to the east. Despite its age, it shows little signs of age because it has been continually updated and maintained. The rooms are moderately spacious and comfortable, the lobby small but tastefully furnished. The floor staff is knowledgeable, as is the receptionist: very helpful and friendly. There is ample parking amidst majestic centuries-old Cilento olive trees. Let's talk about the cuisine: meals are served at the Hotel Royal, a hotel adjacent to the Orion, under the same ownership and management. The cuisine is rich and varied, although excellent dishes alternate with culinary options that are not always appreciated. There is no self-service buffet of raw and cooked vegetables. The breakfast buffet is generous: guests can choose between an Italian breakfast and a continental breakfast. The dining room staff is friendly and quite qualified. The management is carried out carefully and effectively by the owner and her partner.
