Hotel le Prese

Old world elegance and charm. I have stayed here twice now and enjoyed it both times. A peaceful location to relax and unwind. The hotel is great value. The small spa can be enjoyed for free although it does get busy, even with a booking system. We enjoyed the e-bikes with wind through our whiskers as we cycled through the villages along the valley. The restaurant is great and the breakfast sumptuous. I think I prefer the Mountain View to the lake view - the trees obscure the view which was a small disappointment.

Friendly and competent service. Rooms nicely and classy decorated, perfectly clean with views over the lake or into the mountains. Excellent gourmet-restaurant in-house with wonderful views over the lake. Stop of the scenic Bernina railway only meters away (with guest-card free in the valley). Beautiful walks on the shore of the lake. Hiking tracks from easy to adventerous. A very good and peaceful place.

Enchanting property (includes the villa, the park, slick bungalows, and a quarter-mile lakefront), restored in recent years with exquisite taste and philological attention to the territory and the past of the house. Superior boutique hotel in everything, from the common sections of the villa to the bungalows (recommended); from art (graphic and sculpture) to cleaning; from the garden to the restaurant (a must-go by itself). Impeccable staff. Great management. The legendary Rhätische Bahn stops right at the gate and takes you upstream or downstream in an instant. Who could ask for more?
