Hotel Le Rive

Standard hotel, way overpriced and don't deserve a 4 star classification. Rooms are clean. However, the matras was super filthy and saturated with dry body fluids.

Stopped here with our Swiss friends who live in Nyon for dinner with a group of eight. It was very early around 6:00 p.m. Manager of restaurant promptly and rudely told us to leave stating that they had full reservations. Walked by 2 hours later the place was less than half full.

Hate to hand out a one star to such a Elegant Hotel but... First, the hotel has NO PARKING. You can pull up into a no drive zone and unload in front of the hotel (if you can find that). Then you are directed to Public Parking a couple hundred yards away. The rooms are very nice and the restaurant is very good. We paid extra for balcony with a Lake Geneva view which was excellent BUT we were on Floor One and it is basically directly on the busy loud road. It was hard to enjoy the magnificent view over all of the road noise. Dinner was great and we went to bed early and the hotel is old (elegantly kept but old) not sound proof at all. So we had trouble sleeping over the road noise. Then we were directly above the restaurant and could hear that din of noise. The road had finally calmed down but it really got loud late at night from the restaurant when they moved every chair and table to clean (vacuum) and woke us again. Elegant large room. Great View. Very small bathroom with funky layout. If you go, be sure to request 2nd or 3rd floor and maybe you do not want the Lakeview if you want less road noise.
