Hotel Le Ski D Or

Excellent stay here, couldn’t be closer to the slopes or restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, cosy room with comfy bed. Breakfast with a view was lovely. As we were checking out at 7am they provided us with a little breakfast bag for our travels home which was a really nice touch. Also lockers for skis and heated racks to dry boots. Stayed in a twin room. Very spacious and clean. Excellent Views of the mountain/pistes from the room. Practically ski in ski out. Just cross the road and ski down to the lifts. Ski room has individual ski locks for each room and boot warmer rack. Would choose again.

Basic but clean hotel rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is very simple for a 3* hotel with no options to take snacks for the day from the (basic) buffet. There is a bar area but it is only open from 1700/1900 - it is literally closed (doors locked) outside these times, so there is nowhere to chill out if you come off the slopes early. The location of the hotel has pros and cons.. The main advantage is that it is virtually ski-in-ski-out. The main disadvantage is that the hotel is opposite a club on the main Val Claret square and the bedroom windows are very thin. We didn’t have a single good night sleep as a result of rowdy people leaving the club though until 0400/0500 hrs. If the hotel can’t guarantee you a room facing away from the street, stay somewhere else.
