Hotel Leon d'Oro

Hotel staff was incredibly kind and the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was very large and clean—I appreciated the candy in the dining area. There is a gym, but most the equipment was not operational. There is a treadmill, elliptical, and bike I believe. The Verona Arena is a little far (about 20 minutes by foot) if you are older. I enjoyed the walk to and from the Piazza though. I would stay again! The breakfast is decent as well, it gets the job done if you want a meal before going out.

Nothing to complain. Looks like a frozen time machine from the 80-90s hotel . Furniture : real wood & lot of marble Tiles. First impression very good. Would definitely stay another time here. City center is at walking distance. Park your car at the Hotel. It has his own lot so not middle of the street. Entrance from 2 locations.

Very nice. Stayed here 5 nights in July. Peak season. Beautiful hotel. Don't understand some reviews complaining about furnishings etc in lobby. Place is very well appointed. I had an air conditioned room on 4th floor that was spotlessly clean with a fab bathroom. Breakfast is more than fine. Plenty selection. It's busy but plenty of seating and very comfortable. The lady who checks you in for breakfast most mornings deserves a particular mention, such a friendly, welcoming person. Fabulous. Great hotel, couldn't fault. Just over a 1km stroll to the Arena and maybe 500m to train station. Location is fine for anyone who can walk a little. Footpaths all the way
