Hotel Lidò

If you are looking for a quaint town Passignano Sul Trasimeno is wonderful. We stayed 7 days at hotel Lido the staff is very accommodating. The hotel is centrally located with a great view of the lake. We were thankful for the window shutters to block the light and heat from the sun. The air conditioning takes awhile to cool the room which is challenging when you are use to cooler air. I would definitely splurge for the lake view. Our room was very clean. You will have to borrow an iron. The breakfast is also very good Italian breakfast and they had an easy to use coffee machine with lots of options.

Positive points: Fantastic location with a great view across the lake if you're facing it. Near the train station. Very polite staff. Nice lobby with some comfortable chairs. Bright breakfast restaurant. Clean room albeit dated. Not so good points: Top of the list is breakfast. Very mediocre and was inconsistent day to day. Small bedroom and a very compact shower room (Deluxe room). Limited selection of spirits at the bar. A pleasant enough hotel to stay, and the location with its nice restaurants and local quaint buildings definitely add to the overall charm of the area.

Brilliant location, really nice pool which was so refreshing, with a great bar / ice cream shop right next to it which is run by the hotel. Inside the hotel though, rooms are small, basic and some things don't work, like plugs, my mini fridge didn't work - needs a refresh. Unfortunately there are also rats living in the vents, you can hear them during the day - this didn't bother us much but I know this would bother a lot of people quite a lot. Overall, great location, good for one night or two max - very basic.
