This hotel is right in the middle of Alassio with most hotels, restaurants, and beaches in the town within walking distance. The rooms were nice and the AC was strong. The breakfast was also one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel, and they have a hot tub and sauna that guests can reserve. Highly recommend!
The location is great, so is the breakfast and the breakfast staff brilliant. But everything else is pretty mediocre... I’m used to travel and only start in 5 or 4 stars hotels... always staying in a suite, as my partner works a lot and we need a bedroom and living room areas. Firstly the suite only comes with 1 towel per person... so, if you like to take 2 showers a day; either you use the same towel or they charge you extra for an extra towel!!!! Outrageous, I would expect that at an easyJet hotel and NOT at a 4 stars... The suite only has 1 bathroom, not great. Most suites I’ve stayed have 2 separate ones Last but not least; awful experience at check out. You would think that in a pandemic world hotels would treat their guests extra well; but no. We asked for late check out the night before; which we were told ok. Check out time 11; at 11:30 I get a call telling me to leave the room immediately as I was late... I kindly tell the person I have asked for a later check out; she calls me a LIAR and tells me to leave immediately. Needless to say my partner and I were completely offended. We have never ever experienced anything like that and we travel at least 10 times a year. Alassio is a beautiful town and we will for sure come back, however we will never stay in this hotel again!
It was dirty. Sheets were smelling. The carpets were old, bathrooms from space movies of 1970s.
