I don't often write reviews, but I have to praise this hotel, it's so nice. I originally booked bed and breakfast, but ended up having evening meals as well on most evenings, for a discounted price of 15 euros per evening meal with 5 or more. The food was excellent, buffet service, with so much amazing choice, something for everyone i would have thought, with both breakfast and evening meals. The cooked food was warm but not too hot and well cooked. I find it difficult to believe that some reviewers have criticised the food! The restaurant also appears very modern, as does the hotel generally, with generous tropical planting all round the accomodation areas and pools. The swimming pool area is also very modern, with glass screens around the edge and plenty of sun beds. The main pool was warm enough to be comfortable for swimming and very clean. I cannot praise the hotel reception staff highly enough. They were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is in a quiet peaceful area and no late night noise. There is an area of waste ground just outside the hotel to the front which presumably is scheduled for development at some point, but not at present. There is a taxi rank outside an adjacent hotel and, as others have said, it's only about 5 euros to Meloneras and the beach, 8 euros or so into PDI. I walked down to the beach most days, only about 20 minutes pleasant walk and there is a nice botanic garden to explore on the way (only open weekday mornings) and also the route brings you out alongside a lake called La Charca, which is great for bird-watching, just before reaching the vast expanses of Maspalomas beach.
Loved it,staff are friendly, the grounds are well kept, excellent collection of bonsai amongst other varieties of flora which I found very good for wellbeing,no mosquitoes. The food is very good with a good selection, the champagne is a special touch on arrival and at breakfast, the duplex accommodation made our experience like having a little house from home,a bit of a walk if you want to visit Maspalomas but not taxing. My only disappointment was the iron that is provided with the accommodation doesn't come with an ironing board. Overall,a very relaxing stay.
I stayed with my partner and a friend and the room was great for the 3 of us, the rooms are well laid out, look gorgeous from the outside and the pool is aesthetically very pleasing! The service however was absolutely dreadful, and I don’t want to say that! But it really was, every interaction with any staff member was very frustrating, there was no enthusiasm or excitement at all, very weird energy! The food in the restaurant was 6/10 and was always cold. We had two single beds pushed together that were on wheels, it was completely impractical!! I would love to say I would recommend, but with the location being a bit far out on top of everything, I honestly can’t say I would stay again! There is absolutely no way this should have 4 stars, I was shocked when I learned that!!
