Hotel Locarno was recommended to us as the best cocktail bar in Rome- I can confirm it did not disappoint. On arrival we were welcomed by Alessandro, the service my partner and friends received was incredible. They have such an extensive cocktail selection it was so hard to choose! Alessandro was so kind and helpful, he gave us all really great recommendations based on our personal tastes and shared some of the finer details about the fresh and local ingredients and produce they use. We all really appreciated the time he spent with us as he also gave us some helpful tips and recommendations of places to visit during our stay! The place is also really beautiful, I heard they also have a rooftop terrace. We will definitely be back- 10/10 experience!
What a wonderful, strange, and utterly welcoming hotel the Hotel Locarno is! Such charming decor, hospitable staff, and a great location in the heart of Rome. Their attention to detail was very appreciated- from the oversized towels, to the air conditioning, to the umbrellas in the lobby in case of rain. Their staff was so pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great, and we are kicking ourselves that we did not take advantage of the evening cocktail service. I read that this hotel is located in what was formerly a Roman noble house, and one could feel the effort to honor that legacy.
Fab hotel for a Rome visit - wonderful staff, and amazing cocktails and food. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever seen. So charming, and atmospheric, not stuffy and bland. La dolce vita...will be back!
