Great rooms! Amazing to have check out at 12pm. Safety lock box available. Good bathroom and plenty of space. Air conditioning was in our suite which was great. Pool looked beautiful but we didn't swim. Free parking around the back. The best place to stay in Valladolid - great value! We stayed in Valladolid to visit an authentic Mayan restaurant and Hotel Los Frailes was sensational! Breakfast included!
The staff delivered an amazing performance. The front desk staff are helpful and accommodating. The restaurant staff is amazing. The poolside bar attendants were spot on. Amazingly clean rooms and pristine pool. Good food at breakfast and dinner. Best of all—so quiet!
I'll start with the good: 1. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I believe they do their best possible. 2. Our room was very nice, big and clean. 3. Great infrastructure. Needs improvement: 1. Breakfast could be an hour experience. It takes forever to be served. Arrive early if you want fruit, otherwise the big family table will have it all. I mean, they know the numbers. 2. It seems front desk has only one hair dryer. We had to returned it 30 minutes later as other guests were waiting. 3. Hot shower is a random experience. To be sure ask front desk to turn the hotel heater on before you shower. Bottom line: Hotel can be excellent if only a few details are managed. Infrastructure is there.
