Hotel Lowietje Lisse Keukenhof

The room is perfect! 10/10!! Believe! Large, with coffee and freezer, amazing bathroom, bed and TV. Nice view with Tulips. The hotel is new so looks like a little dark and closed, but I noticed that they are revamping after a new company take the administration. This hotel will be soon a top in Lisse.

Stayed for two nights, online check-in was problematic and took us 10 minutes to even understand what to do. Room is as small as you can imagine, there is no place to sit or stretch, it’s literally just bed and that’s it. There’s a lot of noise at the hotel as it’s neighbouring a casino and a restaurant. I’ve been woken up several times during the night by loud people, smokers or a party 🤣 that’s ridiculous. Moreover, they started cleaning up the neighbouring rooms at like 6-7 am with vacuum cleaners? So I couldn’t sleep anyway… We stayed from Tuesday to Thursday and we expected to eat at the restaurant, which was closed on Tuesday for absolutely no reason without any warning and there’s nothing else to eat at the location - had to take a 20min stroll to the centre to eat, breakfasts are not available. No cutlery in the rooms to eat what you bring. There’s nobody to talk to in the hotel, I met no staff member and if I wanted to talk to anyone in person, it would be impossible. I think the hotel is just a back-up for the restaurant and casino. The only positive is the hotel being really close to Keukenhof so if you’re only visiting the garden and close your eyes- I guess it’s ok. Otherwise, there are plenty of better hotel options in Lisse which I would recommend instead of this one. A disappointing experience with many question marks.

In all my years of travelling, I never had a worst experience than staying on this so called hotel, from the service to the room, nothing was even close to expectation. Never again.
