Hotel Madeleine

We recently stayed at the hotel via a 7 day break with crystal ski. I can't fault the hotel, the staff are lovely and really can't do enough to help. The hotel really makes an effort at dinner time, and produces some really high quality food. This massively surpassed my expectations, and also has a decent kids menu which appeases the younger ones. The Spa was a really unexpected bonus, and we used this every day after the slopes Sadly we got struck down with a stomach bug (not related to the hotel, it's spotless). This wiped us out for a few days, but the staff even knocked on our door to check on us (when we hadn't appeared at dinner for two days). It's kind things like that, which add the personal touch. In regards to Obergurghl itself, it's lovely. The only reason I have the location 4 stars, was it's very limited for lunch or eating out (If you decided to go outside the hotel). However Solden is a short bus ride away, which has plenty going on. In summary the hotel is lovely, and surpassed all my expectations. I'd highly recommend.

By far the best hotel I've stayed in on a ski holiday. The food was amazing, staff and service perfect. The place was immaculate. Best ski lockers ever! A short walk to the lifts and ski hire shop. I would certainly stay here again, hopefully next season!

Really loved this hotel. The owners are very friendly. We stayed in the apartment side and they were very nicely maintained with everything needed for your stay. Every evening we went to the hotel for drinks and made to feel very welcome. Really good for couples or families. Will definitely be back. Some views from our room.
