Hotel Maderno

A family owned hotel with history in its walls. Some rooms have been refurbished lately, others are more 70s style. Extremely friendly, helpful and service minded staff. Buffet breakfast to be recommended. Serves lunch and dinner. Very nice garden, a great pool and a children's pond. Half the rooms face a busy street , hence some noise. The hotell is close to all facilities in town, including supermarket, ports and more than 10 restaurants, all within five minutes walking. In my view: very good value for money; can be highly recommended.

The hotel can be described as faded elegance, in a good way. Everything is super clean, but not high tech modern. A perfect relaxing place. Location is good, 2 minutes from the lake. Breakfast buffet is continental with a choice of hot dishes and plenty of Italian biscuits and cakes. The garden is well maintained, the pool clean. Enough loungers. Dinner is a 4 course meal, the food is very good. Drink prices are adequate, medium priced for the region. My only quibble is that the single rooms are a bit sad. Small and to the side, like an unwanted relative. But since you are out most of the times it is not a big issue. I, and my travel companion, were very pleased with it.

Sober, simple and clean room with a good looking bathroom and balcony with a nice view. Nice pool and garden. Very close by lake Garda. Hospitality A+, very friendly staff. Good quality breakfast, however dinner was slightly disappointing.
