Hotel Maison Louise Lille Centre Handwritten Collection

Great stay with our dog, staff was very friendly. Rooms are modern, quality furniture. Breakfast was good. Location in Lille is perfect, there is a alley with restaurants and bar right behind the hotel, so you have infinite choices of good food and good coffee. Only complaint is that in the duplex room, there is no sink located with the toilet so you need to climb the stairs up to wash your hands.

The hotel is located near city centre. Parking garage is not very big but it works. Plenty opportunities are nearby to shop or eat, all within walking distance. Room was good, Quiet considering the location. Breakfast very good. We had a perfect stay in Lille.

As frequent guests of Mercure hotels, we have come to expect a certain standard of quality and comfort, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet these expectations. The suite we were assigned had several significant issues. The small downstairs toilet completely lacked a sink, which was a baffling and inconvenient design choice. Furthermore, the upstairs shower room did not have a toilet, requiring us to constantly go up and down the very steep stairs within the room. We also experienced major issues with the hot water; the shower only provided a limited, slow stream, and the one and only sink had no hot water at all. Both showers I took were cold. Beyond these problems, the room's cleanliness was a concern. There was dust everywhere, and the room was generally not as clean as we would expect from a mercure hotel. Finally, I must also highlight the extremely poor accessibility of the hotel. The hazardous lip between our room door and the corridor was a tripping risk for my mother. The lift was not suitable for disabled guests or pushchairs, and there was no ramp from the reception area to the lifts. We were truly disappointed with our stay and feel that the suite and facilities were well below the standard we have come to expect from the Mercure brand.
