Perfect location, cute hotel, everything I needed. No fluff but it was wonderful. The location was everything for me though - perfectly in the marais and near everything I wanted to go to. I’ll definitely be back!
Very kind staff and great location, but as a light sleeper I feel I need to share with others who are in a similar situation that this is a very noisy hotel. I asked for a room in the back courtyard as I was told it would be more quiet, but the reality is that you can hear everything from all the other rooms on the stairs all the time.Just good for people to know.
Very noisy rooms! Great location, nicely appointed rooms and pleasant staff, however the hotel was probably refurbished “on the cheap”: it looks nice and quaint, but don’t expect any soundproofing at all: whether it’s noises from the street, the old air conditioning unit or from inside the hotel (including a loud vacuum cleaner on a Sunday afternoon, if you wanted a quick nap before going out again, forget it…), you will get it all. Very unusual for a “4 star” hotel. Best avoided I’m afraid, unless you come prepared with very effective ear plugs.
