Hotel Makar Sport & Wellness

We loved this hotel. The room was clean and well equipped (except for a drying rack for swimwear...) and all staff members were helpful, especially the lovely lady in the restaurant. Food was delicious and plenty. The pool was clean and the sauna and hot tub excellent. The gym was a bit basic and too warm, but available.

The hotel consist of two parts a newer area which is 4 star and an older original area, but overall needs a good re decoration and up dating throughout, felt more like a 3 star hotel, just comparing when have visited other 4 star hotels. It really has space and existing facilities to be a great 4 or even 5 star hotel. But on the contrary the rooms are spacious, have good size balconies which are great to sit and chill. Location is what it is, a little bit outside the town centre, but if you have chosen this hotel you are most likely looking for a more relaxing/spa type hotel, no complaints on that aspect.The showers in the general area for the spa, felt like you were at a high school changing room but has all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. There are tennis courts at the hotel, which you might not find in all hotels in this price range. Overall ok stay but please up date the hotel.

We stayed for couple of nights at this hotel. The room we booked and payed extra was advertised as twin 4⭐️ The rooms are spacious, nothing special The bathroom looked old and dirty. Hair dryer not working properly, but the girl from reception provided a better one for us. Breakfast is the same every morning , the pancakes machine was not working all the time. If you ask for some help, they look at you surprised not very keen to help. Overall a hood experience.
