11/10. I was truly impressed by the thoughtfulness of the staff and how well equipped the rooms were. Food was delicious, view was amazing, overall, one of the best stays I've had in years.
First of all I need to retract my review of Mama Cuchara hotel from January. It was written in the heat of the moment which should never be done and I apologize for the review. We stayed here after the hotel gave us a complimentary night since we couldn’t get money back in January. The hotel stay was beyond our expectations. They gave guests Ecuadorian treats throughout the day and during dinner. We had dinner and cocktails in the rooftop bar - beautiful views. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. And the hotel was like staying at an art museum. One of the best hotels we have stayed in.
Made a reservation for my mother and friends only for them to arrive and being told the place was reserved for an event. Nobody asked questions, nobody invited them inside even though they were seniors. They had to back in the rain. The worst service I have encountered, the worst attitude. This place does not know how to treat nationals and prefer foreigners. Will never recommend. I asked to talk to the manager and my request was ignored. This is not the way to do business.
