Hotel Mannheimer Hof Leonardo Limited Edition

Out of all the places we stayed on our trip to Germany, this was our favorite! This is definitely a "fancier" hotel (or at least fancier than where we stayed in the other German cities we visited) that reminded me of hotels in the US, but had a European essence. The rooms/beds/bathrooms were bigger than a typical European hotel, but the pillows, bed comforter, shower, toilet, sink, and windows were the typical European style. The elevator looks pretty old and is very European in the sense that it is small and you have to pull/push The door fuller before it can move. The location is great (right by the Wasserturm) with a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. It was about a 12min walk from the train station, 5-10 min walk to the main Mannheim area, and there was a cafe that we stopped at to grab breakfast 3min away. We slept well, even with the windows open. The front desk was always staffed and very helpful. They actually charged me twice which he noticed before me and gave me a refund for the duplicate charges right away. It was also surprisingly not as expensive as we would have thought. We would 100% stay here again!

Very nice hotel, recently renovated and reopened. The rooms are clean & spacious, comfortable beds and lots of storage room. The breakfast is very good and extensive. The gym and spa are very well equipped. Staff very friendly and helpful with a good mix of casual and professional.

Eventhough the hotel staff were excellent and very friendly (5 stars), the large 4 person room was pretty poor. Toilet didn't stop flusing the first day. The bath tub was also leaking, and the room was a bit dusty. Fortunately the could solve the bahtroom problem next day. Location near wasserturm is very nice, but expect to walk quite a bit to the place with restaurants everyday.
