Great room experience, but room service itself is difficult to deal with. I had some issues with getting our room serviced despite time frames we had arranged for the room, so we could only get towels supplemented but not fully replaced until our next availability. The front desk people are great and extremely helpful and VERY accommodating for folks who may have special needs. If you intend to eat at BLDG, the appetizers are very textured, but tastes very well. Salad was a hit miss as it was very acidic, but it worked with the dressing and salmon. You can clearly tell the chef had made seasonal produce shine throughout the meal and celebrated it's freshness. But know the atmosphere is not great for talking. It's easy to overhear other conversations near the bar and it's hard to talk amongst yourself.

We spent two nights in this hotel and really enjoyed everything about it. Firstly, what a cool building! The outside hides a beautiful, clean, elegantly decorated, calm interior. The welcome we received was warm, friendly and helpful. Huge rooms that are spotlessly clean and well appointed. We were worried about road noise from past reviews but honestly, we couldn’t hear a thing! The bar and restaurant are great with really friendly staff and tasty, reasonably priced food. Also, great complimentary water machines. Loved the sparkling water option!

Had another great stay at the Hotel Marcel, I tavel to New Haven at least once a year to visit family and friends and this is my second stay here at the Hotel Marcel and was even more pleasant than the first. First let me shout out the Staff was checked in by Luie he was pleasant kind and helpful, also received helped at the desk from Brianna who was also very kind, pleasant and helpful and one night I needed some assistance from the night shift/auditor who was Tanya and she was awesome as well. staff was 10/10, The room was prefect with a perfect view of the water I really enjoyed my stay, I didnt get to eat at the restaurant or bar this time but will definetly try it again next go around. Thanks for a wonderful stay and hope to stay here again next go around.
