Hotel Maria del Carmen

Stayed at Hotel Maria del Carmen for four nights. Upon my arrival, I had many "mosquitoes" in the room. I called downstairs and they offered to spray the room that night or the next morning. The next day, I had a plumbing issue. I called, and it got fixed. The day after, the light in the room went off. I called and it got fix. A big shout out to Johnny (who works at the hotel) who was able to get us in contact with a tourist company (transportation included) that did not charge an arm and a leg. Despite all the issues presented almost every day, great customer service was offered, and my issues were immediately resolved. Food at the restaurant was great!

Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Parking is free. The room was clean and tidy. We have to consider the price, which is quite reasonable, for what you get. Cable is included though you will only get a maximum of 8 channels. Air conditioner worked good until it started leaking and flooding the bathroom. Can't complain, I came here to visit as much places as possible. At the end of the day after walking for hours and being under the scorching sun I just wanted to lay down, relax, have a showed and sleep. The bed was comfortable and clean. It has a pool working from 07:00 to 22:00 hrs

Horrible experience, rooms in bad condition. Full of mold, a/c doesn’t work, dirty, sheets not clean and dirty with spots., shower head dirty with grime. They had to change us 3 times during our stay due to accessibility issues, glass shower for hinges falling apart. Staff at the nice at the restaurant, but some will make you uncomfortable with their piss off attitude in addition of mandating tips when the food takes to long to be served and comes cold.
