Great alpine hotel! Very clean, the stuff was very nice and welcoming. Free shuttle to the ski lift and center is perfect. Breakfast was simple but absolutely sufficient and delicious.

I had a wonderful time in this hotel. Perfectly located for summer, so many trails accessible nearby. The stuff was so friendly and helpful in deciding the best trails. The rooms was so comfortable and the view was breathtaking. The spa was a total delight, we enjoy it almost every night.

We came for a one-week hiking and ferrata trip, and were really looking forward to our stay here for relaxing every night after a long hike in the Dolomites. We booked a junior suite hoping for a great balcony view of the mountains, but all we got was a small window overlooking them. Whilst the room was very comfortable, unfortunately it was a bare-bones room, with no amenities whatsoever. No tea, no coffee, no kettle - nothing. There was no ventilation in the room (air conditioning ) , so it got very hot and stuffy at night. Moreover, the hotel is situated on the edge of the road and the constant noise from the cars as well as loud music playing in the hotel premises (!) meant we couldn't even open the windows for air! The shower lights were operated by movement sensors, and kept switching off despite there being a person in the shower. This meant most showers were taken in the dark. Service at breakfast and the spa by the two ladies there was excellent (they were really very nice and helpful!), but unfortunately the person manning the front desk was the exact opposite - extremely unfriendly and not helpful. It was as if he didn't want us to be there! The menu cards for the breakfast were not kept on the table, so we were not aware of the extra charges for eggs at breakfast (which inclusive breakfast charges extra for eggs?!?). The ladies at breakfast kept pushing us to order eggs without informing us that they were extra, and so we did. It was only at the checkout were we told that eggs were extra (EUR 10 per person!!), and despite me complaining that I was not informed, the man at the reception forced us to pay. How this is a 4-star hotel, I have no idea! This is a 3-star at best! And why this hotel has such high reviews, I will never know. All I know is that I wont be coming back here (I will be coming back to Madonna every year though).
