A really frustrating visit. This could be a great hotel but just isn’t at present: there are so many things that are not right. I emailed the hotel after our visit and received a detailed reply straight from the customer service textbook, but at least they seemed to understand the issues that I raised. Otherwise, I would not be giving 5 out of 10. A hotel stay that started with no hot water for the first day of our visit and ended with being left waiting for transport for 50 minutes in the town square in sub-zero temperatures have left me feeling very disappointed. The Maribel should be better: it is expensive, there are a small number of guests and a lot of staff. We certainly did not get the experience that we expected. I wanted to leave by the end of day two, although we did stay for four.
The visit to the restaurant and hotel left a very unpleasant impression. The bartender, despite being polite and doing his best, found himself in an awkward situation due to the overall disorganization of the staff, which noticeably affected the atmosphere. The restaurant's prices were unjustifiably high: cocktails for €24 are simply outrageous, even considering the mountain location. The final bill was shocking! The hotel itself also failed to leave a positive impression: the atmosphere was gloomy and lacked comfort. Loud music was playing nearby, adding to the discomfort. The only positive aspect was the decent music from the DJ, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall disappointment.
We climbed a hundred steps to reach the restaurant, and upon arrival at the reception, we were told that our small dog was not allowed inside. We were immediately directed to the terrace, without even being allowed to walk through the restaurant, and had to go around the side. However, the terrace was closed… My husband insisted, as we had a reservation, and after some persistence, we were finally allowed to sit there. The waiter was visibly annoyed, and the welcome was far from warm. To top it off, I didn’t even receive the dish I ordered, and the pizzas were of very poor quality. We were excited to try your restaurant, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a big disappointment.
