Hotel Marina Port

We spent a week in this hotel in July, 2024. Beautiful location, close to Siófok and Balatonlelle. The water level is super as on the other part of the south port of Balaton is very shallow, but here at Marina port was perfect for swimmers, non swimmers, kids. The hotel is very family orientated, there is a huge playhouse, afternoon activities for kids with teachers, outside programs and a beautiful playground on the yard. There is an inner pool for kids with little slide. The hotel itself is well maintained and clean. The room was spacious and quite. The hotel restaurant offers sitting outside and inside. Food is 5* with lots of varieties, cold, hot and sweet buffet. The only minus is that there is a very high service charge for drinks. When we asked what means the counted 12% and on the top of it 27% service charge nobody could explain it to us. Another thing made me happy is that there was a Bible in the room😊 Overall lovely stay, would definitely come back :)

This is our second time visiting and it is just as wonderful as it was last year. The food is wonderful. The rooms are nice. The beach area is large and there is also an indoor swimming pool with children's pool and sauna area. It is very good for children because there is a play room as well as a craft room. We will definitely be coming every year.

Very strong 4/5 here I only advise you to come if you have children. Upon arrival the staff was exceptionally nice and very welcoming. The entire bottom floor/lobby/kids play area/ dining is all 5/5 new and very top tier. The rooms definitely are on the older side. They are very manageable but bathrooms are tighter and the overall cleanliness just wasn't there. Lots of hair in our room in carpets and on shelves. Not a big deal but was noticeable. Patio was super dirty with spider webs everywhere. Not cleaned at all. Food and drinks were 4/5 and overall very enjoyable. The activities and space next to the balaton for the kids and family are the reasons we came and the reason we will return. Now to the only negative of our trip and I was fully prepared to give this hotel a 5/5 but this just took it down 1 for us. The younger girls who work the breakfast/dinner and drink area outside are just not very pleasant. It's very obvious the girls are not happy to be there and quite frankly are very rude. The overall demeanor from them was "can't wait to get off work and you are in our way" I hope this is just a summer job for them and this is not the permanent staff. It's VERY obvious they are not happy to be there. None the less we will 100% be coming back and recommending. We enjoyed our trip here and would recommend it.
