Recently stayed for a large family get away. The facility, views, pools, and food were amazing. But what really made our time here wonderful was the staff. We had 4 children with us and the entire staff were more than accommodating. They took time to great us, get to know us, and make sure that our stay was a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were wonderful to work with. There were three ladies who help plan excursions, that went over and beyond to help plan a few day adventures that were amazing and helped us navigate local interests. There were three younger ladies and a gentlemen that worked in the store and photo shop who were beyond friendly, professional, and helpful. We loved walking down by them. The buffet, pizzeria, and restaurant are all amazing. This facilities and grounds are great, but the staff truly makes your stay amazing. A true class act. Thanks for a wonderful time.

The hotel and spa were excellent in every way! The staff was professional, and they managed the "beautiful chaos" of the buffet dinner with skill and patience. Reserve a night at the table service restaurant or pizzeria for a more traditional experience. The beach and beauty of the landscape are first rate.

After staying there in last week, I am appalled by the reviews here. People must not have been to any other 5 star hotel in their entire life to think the quality of the service there meets the 5-star standards. We checked in and got into our room, the walls had shoeprints of people who tried to kill the flies. It didnt take long for us to notice that it is because there is no flyscreen in the bathroom window or the room. The room was standard, nothing extraordinary. We then were told we need to PAY to use the umbrellas and the sunbeds on the beach. €550 a night, but then pay €38 every day for the sunbeds? Who thought it would satisfy the customers? The beach is not private either, while you are laying down on your €38 sun bed, you are next to the public. There are sellers on the beach walking between the sunbeds as well. And some can be pushy enough that you have to tell them no a few times for them to move on. Oh, lunch is not included in their price either, and is around €50 each. It is incredibly expensive for what they offer. They advertise the hotel as "great for couples" but there is not even a kids pool for the kids to hang out, so all you hear while laying down next to the pool is kids screaming and crying. So relaxing! You have to book a table for the restaurant as well a day before, otherwise it clearly books up real quick. Apart from the kids crying, it is a quiet hotel. There is a short live music in the evening, but thats all. No background music during the day or anything. For two nights in a row (We stayed for three nights), there was a repetitive beep noise kept us awake. Assuming the reception in a 5-star hotel is open 24/7, we called them multiple times to ask if it could be resolved so that we can sleep, nobody responded. I had to comment on their social media post for them to come and talk to us about it. It was a basic "sorry" we received when they got in touch with us. No attempt on trying to understand what the noise is. We had many more issues that I cannot fit in here, about which they are in touch with my partner privately. Whoever says they had amazing time must have got lucky with nothing going wrong in their stay, but a good quality hotel shows their standards when issues arise, and from the way they approach those issues. They were very dismissive apart from saying a simple sorry, which does not really help when it does not solve the problems. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it was advertised for catering for gluten free and lactose free. They do, but the options are limited. So nothing extraordinary there either, just standard gluten free and lactose free approach in any reasonable restaurant. To me, it is the bare minimum because they are the ones advertising as gluten free, so they did not have to go out of their way to cater for us out of nowhere. It is already embedded, so, pretty standard. Knowing other 5 star hotels, Marinedda could not deliver what they offer. Pretty standard service you can get in any 2-3 star hotel. We are massively disappointed. Expensive experience that is not worth the price so you end up leaving disappointed. Imagine leaving your holiday saying "we wish we didnt stay here". I'd highly advise reading the low score reviews here and picking a different 5-star hotel.
