Lovely hotel. Welcoming and comfortable. The small town is also lovely and peaceful, but full of character.
Compared to other 4 star hotels I have experienced this one is below average. The best thing about it was that all the staff were nice. The worst thing is that the showers have tile floors rather than smoothe porcelain which I don't trust is as clean. I call it "prison style" showers and you definitely have to wear flip flops in the shower to avoid getting feet infections. Less important is that brekfast was below average for 4 stars also. No sausages in a hotel breakfast for the first time I've ever seen. The scrambled eggs did not taste as good, I don't know if it's because of the eggs quality or if it's because of the oil they use but it definitely doesn't taste like high quality eggs cooked in high quality butter.
