Stayed at Maroa Hotel on my Camino and for the price, you cannot beat the location and fantastic harbour view. The hotel is modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was great too on their rooftop terrace with fresh fruits and wife choices of bread, jams, meat, cheese and cereal. They cook eggs on your order. The Reception team of Yolanda and Pablo were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to take our muddy bicycles inside their hotel and arranged for bicycle storage inside. Just what we needed after a tiring day. Highly recommend Maroa Hotel for your stay in Vigo.
The room was bright, large and clean. Staff at front desk were eager to help and provide assistance. Only downside was street noise: not from traffic but from party people at sidewalk cafes. We were awakened many times early on Sunday morning by loud conversations then restaurant staff cleaning up and moving tables, even while we wore earplugs. Noise didn't stop until maybe 600 AM.
The hotel is very central, but the air conditioning is an issue. The guests have to request ac once they arrive, and unfortunately, the employees have no idea how to activate ac in guest rooms. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view, but the service is absolutely terrible.
