Hotel Matthiol

I have stayed at this hotel in Zermatt on multiple occasions, and each visit has been exceptional. The breathtaking views are unparalleled, and the room features a private bathtub, steam room, and sauna, all overlooking the Matterhorn. The location is ideal: within walking distance of the town center yet secluded enough to avoid noise from the gondolas and tourist crowds. Additionally, the on-site restaurant is outstanding, and the bar offers an excellent selection of wines. If you are looking to de-stress, this is the ideal location.

The setting of the hotel is stunning with Matterhorn right there, but what really made it memorable was the amazing staff!! Thank you to all the staff that helped us, you’re all so sweet and kind.

I rarely take time to leave a review, however Hotel Matthiol far exceeded our expectations and deserves a review!! The room was cozy and the views were amazing! The employees go above and beyond and are so genuine! If that isn't enough to make you book a room here, the spa labyrinth was unlike anything I’ve experienced at a hotel before! Filet et Fils was the best food we had on our trip! This was hands down our favorite place to stay. Their dedication to service and an excellent stay is evident! I highly recommend Hotel Matthiol!
