Hotel Maxim

Delicious, unpretentious lunch - excellent schnitzel & vepřové pečené (roast pork & dumplings).

Very quiet, clean and peaceful hotel, dog-friendly (300 CZK/night for a dog) with a large LCD TV and a fridge (cooling well) in the room. Room 306 has a long and rather narrow balcony but two chairs fit on it, which allowed us to spend a pleasant evening there. There are 4 parking spaces right in front of the hotel entrance and we managed to park there. The cost of parking is 300 CZK/night. Comfortable beds, Warm (even hot) water almost immediately after turning on the tap. Very nice receptionist, speaking English and German well. The hotel is about 300 m from the Singing Fountain and the Maxim Gorky Colonnade, right next to the park. Breakfast buffet, tasty cheeses, pate and cold cuts, a selection of bread, including toast. Coffee from the coffee machine, milk for coffee on the table. The buffet had fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, ...) and fruit. Warm sausages and fried eggs.

WiFi did not reach me in the room on the second floor, so I was without internet for 5 days. The water in the pool is beautifully warm. Unfortunately, right next to my room, the cleaners met for a chat, so they regularly woke me up at 6 and 7 in the morning. The view from the window of a busy street with a demolished house doesn't add to the charm either. Their dinners are excellent. The service that was here on the third day of my stay was very pleasant, I commend it. Even on the third day of my stay, the cleaning lady was not able to bring out the broom, so I had to leave a message for her. Not to mention changing the towels. I probably won't be coming back again.
