Old fashioned, but extremely clean hotel. Tasty and well prepared breakfast. Maybe far from centre of the old town, but good bus connection nearby (2€ one way). Under roof parking. Very helpful service at the reception desk. Recommended!
It's definitely not a 4 star hotel, the rooms are outdated, the bathroom is like a granny's from the 80s. The bed linen and towels are clean, I don't want to comment on the carpet in the room. The rooms are air conditioned, but I'm not sure how it works when it's very hot outside. The breakfast is good, you can find something for everyone. It's good for a one night stay.
Avoid this hotel – disrespectful staff and unsafe conditions I stayed at this hotel with my wife and our one-year-old baby – and it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. At check-in, the staff wanted to charge us extra for a baby cot, which was strange since this had always been included at other hotels we’ve stayed at in Italy. When we got to the room, the carpet was wet. We first assumed someone had just spilled water. But later, we realized the entire room was humid and uncomfortable. At night, when we closed the window, we heard dripping – it turned out the AC was leaking, and on top of that, it wasn’t working at all. The room was extremely hot. My wife has asthma and struggled to breathe. Our baby couldn’t sleep due to the heat. We asked the staff for help, but they simply told us they couldn’t do anything. When I tried to explain how serious the situation was, they turned their backs on us and refused to assist. When we asked to switch rooms or get a refund, one of the receptionists threatened to call the police. I told her to go ahead – we had done nothing wrong and just needed help. She pretended to call the police, but no one ever came. After two hours of waiting with our baby in our arms, I called the police myself. Suddenly, the staff “found” a free room for us – even though they had previously claimed the hotel was fully booked. When I returned to our original room to collect our luggage, I found two men inside. I asked what they were doing with our belongings, and they said they were technicians – something the reception had never mentioned. This was not just bad service – it was disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright unsafe, especially for families with young children. The hotel staff showed zero empathy or responsibility. I strongly recommend not staying at this hotel, especially if you’re traveling with children or anyone with health issues.
