Hotel Maxim

This hotel is superb. We had an issue with the room and the manageress resolved the situation for us within 2 hours. The location is outstanding, the food is superb, snd the island is a wonderful place. We really recommend this hotel and the island.

The service wasn’t great. I don’t recommend the breakfast and the massage although ok, the facilities were poor. It was very uncomfortable to try to relax when people would just walk by because it was an open ptraining studio. They don’t accept cards in the bar apparently, but when you ask a couple of times, then is possible to pay with card. But this experience was extremely awkward. They would bring three-four people to come and witness that you pay. My overall conclusion about travelling to Croatia: always pay with local currency and avoid paying with euros. They do the conversion they think is right at the time and give you hr back. Always ask the price in advance and ask for a receipt afterwards. Try always paying with card because then they must give you a receipt. Other than that, enjoy Croatia! I will come back to Bozava, but not to this hotel.

This review is for bike rentals. I rented two bikes from them. All the bikes they had were in very bad shape and some have serious mechanical problems. I got a flat tire on the Sakarun beach and had to walk one hour with the bike back to the hotel. Don’t rent bikes from here. (They have a new fleet of e-bikes but those are more expensive. Don’t know how good they are as I did not try).
