I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Maya in Long Beach. My room opened up to a beautiful waterfront view with lounge areas, jet skis, and plenty of space to relax outside and it felt like a mini resort. The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. They let me check in my bags early so I could head straight to my conference without any stress. Room service was quick and on point, and the whole vibe of the place made it easy to unwind after a long day. Definitely planning to come back the next time I’m in the area.
I booked this hotel for my wedding night. Staff was very rude the day of and unaccommodating. After months of preparation and multiple discussions of when I could check in the lady answering the phones was very rude to me and hung up on me multiple times. I am shocked and appalled at her attitude on such a momentous day of my life. It completely ruined my entire wedding day timeline and made me Miss moments I’ll never get back. Truly disappointed by the staff. Didn’t want to accommodate an early check in on our wedding day! Had to go to a salon to prep for my wedding. A disaster. Ruined our first look and timeline. I highly recommend they get better staff that are kind. Very bad experience for wedding and would NOT recommend any bride to come to your facilities. 0/10 they will ruin your wedding!! Go next door to the residence inn. Do not go to hotel Maya if you have a special occasion planned. They will do NOTHING for you. They wouldn’t even let us get on the shuttle to the venue! Horrible horrible customer service!!!! I regret booking here and really urge you to find another hotel if you have a special event taking place in Long Beach.
Rooms were basic with no balcony for over 300 a night. Old furniture curtains were broken and dirty. Bathroom very small. Loud people in the area. Not enough fire pits. Bar was small. If you went to the bar in the morning for a cup of coffee you pay 8 dollars for an average cup. Parking is outrageous. This place is a dump
