We stayed here at the tail end of a short trip to California, and we loved the room. The bed was comfy, the toiletries smelled nice, and it was kid friendly for our needs. We also left an item in the room behind, and the hotel staff was able to locate it, hold it, and arrange for it to be mailed back to us out of state! We’re happy with the location and price point for the quality. It was quiet and the room was clean. We would stay here again, as it’s in a super convenient location close to shopping, dining, groceries, and the beach/marina.

My parents stayed here for 2 nights, between 07/28/2025 and 07/30/2025. I helped them book their stay directly from the hotel website. Unfortunately, the customer service here was horrible, especially compared to the price they paid. They had to ask the front desk six times to get their room cleaned and their beds made and ask multiple times for new towels. Also, my parents arrived about 2 hours before check-in time. Even though the room was ready, they only wanted to let them in for an extra $75. Before coming here, my parents stayed at the Huntley hotel in Santa Monica and the Ocean View hotel. In both other hotels, they allowed them to have early check-in at no charge, since the rooms were ready. I understand that the official check-in time is at a specific time, but if the room is prepared, why try to charge for it? It seems a little greedy, considering the fact that this hotel is not cheap. While the interior of the hotel (the lobby) and the pool area are nice, the customer service prevented my parents from staying an extra 5 nights, and they booked another hotel instead.

I seriously don’t know how this place is rated 4 stars. Housekeeping? Nonexistent. Stayed for a whole week and no one cleaned my room — not once. Told the front desk twice. No “Do Not Disturb” sign, I was out most of the day for work, still… nothing. The only time they asked about my room was when I checked out — like, now you want to clean it? Breakfast: Paid for 6 days of the buffet, but you can’t even pour your own coffee. Staff bring it over and clearly expect tips. Didn’t tip the first day? No more coffee for you. Meanwhile, everyone around you gets served, just to make a point. One even highlighted the tip line on the Paper bill with a yellow marker to rub it in. The food is not good. You can find little bone from the turkey sausage . Egg is very dry. Room key: It stopped working 3 times. Had to drag all my stuff to the front desk again and again. • Bathroom light: Turned off by itself and wouldn’t turn back on. Had to call someone to fix it. • AC from hell. Loud enough to compete with a 90-year-old man snoring in your ear all night. • Found hair in the shower. Gross, but I guess acceptable if this were a 2-star place. • “Pool view room”? Only if you lean all the way out the balcony — which you won’t, because it’s covered in bird poop. • early check-in? Forget it. Okay, that’s fair policy. But I came back at 4pm and still had to wait.
