Hotel Medinaceli

Excellent hotel with equal service and a superb location. The renovated hotel still gives you a feeling of grandeur that matches the history of the hotel. The atmosphere is great with nice design elements such as the internal patio with the beautiful glass staircase or the breakfast room with nice arches on the roof. Service is great. They truly make the hotel a 5 star. Rooms are cleaned properly, the reception is very welcoming and help out where needed and the restaurant personnel during breakfast are service minded. Keep up the good work. Certainly would book it again when visiting Barcelona.

Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for our 4 night stay in Barcelona. I was traveling with my father so having space was essential. Our triple room was perfect for two people but would be just as comfortable for 3. The beds, including the sofa bed were very comfortable. The location made for quiet nights and mornings and felt very safe. It’s idealy located with many attractions and amenities within walking distance and there’s a taxi stop right outside the door. The air conditioned room, lobby and common spaces were a huge relief from the heat wave of our July stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and on many occasions went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and easy to navigate. When I booked the room they hadn’t yet reopened from their renovations and I’ll admit I was nervous about booking something based off of architect rendered photos but they truly represent the beauty of the hotel. There is still some construction occurring, but all the most essential things are up and running. I would absolutely stay here again, especially in summer.

We loved our stay here. The location is ideal if you want to be in the Gothic Quarter. The staff were very warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. When we had an issue with our room, the staff did not hesitate to help us get the issue resolved. They regularly checked in with us to ensure we were having a great stay and made helpful recommendations. The rooms were looked very nice and were very clean. I would happily stay here again.
