Hotel Mediterranean

Very nice and clean hotel. I will admit that I find some of the other reviews harsh concerning this hotel. Being on a Greek island I don't expect a 5 star hotel to be like a 5 star hotel in Paris (that's why it only costs a fraction of the price). The lobby is spacious enough, the breakfast quite good, as is also the cleaning of the rooms. Furthermore, the service is very good and the people very polite and willing to help. Top location right on the beach and only a few metres from the city centre. There is a bit of an issue with seating for the morning breakfast depending on time, however, I have run in to this in other 5 star hotels also across Europe. All in all a pleasant experience. Recommended.

Great location, at the north side of the island, next to the beach. New innovated rooms but a/c is not working perfectly and noise from the other occupants are high. The staff is very professional and the breakfast is very good which obviously you would expect at this price range.

We complained that our room wasn't being properly cleaned. We had left our trash in a bag hanging on the door handle, but the maids didn't pick it up for several days. The manager did react, but the maids continued with ignoring the trash. Once, after my boyfriend dried himself with one of their "clean" towels, he noticed long black hairs on it and on his body. When he reported this at the reception, the woman responded with "maybe it's from your girlfriend", as if he wouldn't know my hair color. Also I wasn't even using their towels and he was the one who took a shower first. They didn't even offer a discount or at least a drink or some food as an apology, which left us really disappointed. For the price we paid, the least they could do is show some respect to their guests. The room was quite modern, but not as functional and clean as expected for a 5 star hotel. We didn't have a proper wardrobe to unpack our clothes (the existing wardrobe didn't have any shelves), so our luggages were lying down on the floor throughout the entire vacation. The location is amazing.
