Hotel Mercure Grenoble Centre Président

my absolute favorite hotel i’ve stayed at! i was here with a class trip and the staff was very welcoming to us and we were given our own dining room for breakfast- which was excellent with numerous options! the room i stayed in had a very comfortable bed, spacious shower, and good air conditioning the hotel also has water bottle fillers and water carafes that you can take to your room which was so nice! the atmosphere of the hotel overall is wonderful- it is well decorated and maintained. i overall had an excellent time here at the mercure grenoble and would definitely come again!

The room was really spacious and the bed was very comfy. The views from the hotel room were amazing and the staff were lovely. The only thing that stops me putting 10 is the noise we experienced whilst at the hotel from the renovation work as they started very early near enough 7am and we were still sleeping at this time. We stayed on floor 1 so this is probably why it was very loud as was close to the pool area.

Hotel is very clean, up-to-date looking and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Reception area looks clean, there is a place to sit and also the drinks are served as well in the lobby. Breakfast is bad to medium, depends on what person prefers. Scrambled eggs are sometimes overcooked, sometimes still liquid, same goes for the sausage. One day nice baked and crispy, next day pinkish. If you are staying for more than a 5 days, breakfast will be monotone since there are not much choices. Also there are only 2 juice options and coffee is horrible. But the freshly baked croissants are God level of good combined with their Caramel sauce or marmelades. Dinner is apparently hard to get there even if you pay for a half-board. If the hotel has few rooms booked, no dinner for you even if you paid half-board in advance. There are snacks, cold plate is amazing, Pate is great. Beer is way too expensive, 6eur for 0,25L. Swimming pool is functional but not open to guests. Room is equipped with large TV so it is good to bring your HDMI cable because TV’s are not some chinese brands, they are very good TV’s. One and only thing why I would give 4 stars even tho i’m not satisfied with plenty of things is - internet. This hotel has the best internet i have ever had in a hotel. And that’s why 4 stars from me. I value good internet on the go more than a good coffee or swimming pool. I will definitely keep on coming back here anyways.
