Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof

Great Stay Thanks to Maxim and Christian! I stayed from 14–18 April 2025 and just realized I really should leave a good review here. It was my first time visiting Vienna, and honestly, Maxim was the best receptionist I’ve ever met—he truly cares about the guests. When he found out it was my first time in the city, he took the time to recommend great places to visit, which perfectly matched the "discover local" concept of Mercure. The room was clean and just right for my 4-night stay. The location is super convenient—close to the train station and easy to get into the city. To be honest, Vienna might be my least favorite stop on the trip because it rained almost every day, but meeting Maxim and Christian really made the experience memorable. I stayed here when I visited Vienna in the end of March. Lovely Friendly staff, ideal location right near the underground and only a short walk to the nearest supermarket. The restaurant/bar was lovely. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were cleaned daily, Very comfortable beds. Although there was only two pillows for a twin room, I requested extra pillows and they allowed it without any problem. Thoroughly recommend.

The entire hotel is outdated, and rooms on the lower floors have no air conditioning. During a heatwave in summer, it can be unbearable—hot, stuffy, and dark. Booking websites may offer discounted rates for these lower-floor rooms. Once you arrive, you'll need to pay an extra €75 per night to upgrade to a higher-floor room with air conditioning. In terms of value for money, I think it's worth considering other options. The hotel has a great location, but aside from that, there aren't many standout features I would recommend
