A Charming Hotel with Great Value! I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, I'm very pleased with my experience. The location is excellent, with the city center just a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast was a highlight – the spread was incredible, with a wide variety of sugary and salty options to satisfy any craving. I particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to offer tips and recommendations on what to see and do in the city, as well as suggestions for great places to eat. The rooms were very clean, although they do show their age a bit. However, given the price point, I wasn't expecting luxury. The staff's warmth and helpfulness made up for any minor issues with the rooms. There were a couple of drawbacks – the lack of air conditioning was noticeable, but I'd been warned about this before booking, so it wasn't a surprise. The pillows could also be improved. Despite these minor issues, the hotel offers great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, no-frills stay in a convenient location.
I made a reservation for friends in this hotel and they really asked me to write a review because this hotel in their opinion deserved it. everything was great. nice staff, delicious food, constant cleaning and walking distance to the city center. We would like to thank your hotel and see you soon
Our stay at the Merkur Hotel in Prague was generally average. Although the hotel provided some conveniences, I cannot say that it met all expectations. Its location is a bit far from the central places; although it is possible to reach by walking or public transportation, it can be difficult at times. The lack of air conditioning in the rooms was a situation that negatively affected comfort, especially in the summer months. This was a significant minus for us. The breakfast was completely mediocre. Putting rotten and withered fruits as a show is disrespectful to the guests. For example, watermelon, grapes, portal, etc. were insufficient in terms of variety, a more careful and rich presentation could have been expected. On the other hand, especially the ladies working in the lobby were very interested and helpful with the guests. This approach of the staff can be written as a plus of the hotel. As a general evaluation, I can say that it is a mid-range hotel that can be preferred for a short stay as long as you do not go with very high expectations.
